Roof Project - 2005
This was the first major project undertaken in 2005 by Drive Mansions Ltd after the buy-out of the lease from The Freshwater Group.
The existing slate roof was in a delapidated state. Whenever it rained most of the top floor flats would be flooded.
At the same time two centralised TV aerials and 2 satellite dishes were installed. Prior to this there were close on 200 TV aerials scattered all over the roof. Each flat is now supplied with a single aerial feed and a single satellite feed .
A lot of the damage to the old roof had been caused by TV installers having random access to the roofs.
